Joe English Twilight Challenge

1:00 pm - Presentation and Workshop - "Running Better: Performance Up and Injury Down"

at Souhegan High School 412 Boston Post Road, Amherst,NH
 Presented by Bert Reid, DPT, Olympic Physical Therapy, Middleton RI.
4:30 pm - Checkin and Registration at Freestyle Farm
6:00 pm - 6 Hour Ultra Run, Marathon, Half Marathon
7:00 pm - Marathon Relay, Half Marathon Relay
12:00 am - Course Closes

The Joe English Twilight Challenge is an evening/night trail run sponsored by the Amherst Land Trust and hosted by Freestyle Farm in Amherst, NH. The event consists of a marathon, a half-marathon and a 6-hour ultra-marathon. The marathon and half-marathon may be run individually or by relay teams. The relay teams (half or full marathon) consist of 2 or 5 runners completing either 5 or 10 laps on a 2.62-loop beginning at 7:00 p.m. The 6-hour ultra-marathon begins at 6:00 p.m. and ends at midnight. Most of the event will be run in darkness, on groomed equestrian trails.

Amherst Track and Field XC Development Meet

Presented by Amherst Track and Field Program

2K, 3K, 4K, 5K Youth Races and Open 5K XC Steeplechase

USATF Junior Olympic age group XC races at 2k, 3k, 4k, and 5k distances. There will be individual age group races combining boys and girls on the same courses as used for the November 16 USATF-NE JO Championships.
Following the youth races we will offer an open 5K XC steeplechase
8:45 am    Course Walks
10:00        2K Youth (7-8 boys and girls)
10:30        3k Youth (9-10 boys and girls)
11:00        3k Youth (11-12 boys and girls)
11:30        4K Youth (13-14 boys and girls)
12:00        5k Youth (15-16 and 17-18 boys and girls)

1:00 pm    Open 5k XC Steeple Chase

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 16

USATF New England Junior Olympic XC Championships

The Amherst Track and Field Program and Freestyle Farm LLC are pleased to once again host the JO Championships.  This event requires USATF membership and advance, on-line registration using CoachO.
